I suggest prostrating your body for safety.
vector40 returns to our forum with one last Banshee submission - back in the Halo PC days, he was an enthusiastic Banshee pilot, and created a number of articles and videos showing how best to use this vehicle in battle. He recently found an unpublished piece that lays out "a protocol for two-man Banshee wing voice communications". Go give it a read! (Louis Wu 13:14:41 UTC)

The End of the Banshee Run
Over at Rampancy.net, vector40 has written up part 5 (the last part) of his Banshee Handling Tutorial - this one covers a number of techniques he hadn't gotten to yet. And in case you were wishing he'd included some of the sillier tricks... he wrote a separate article on our forum, detailing the stuff you SHOULDN'T do. Really. (Louis Wu 12:53:32 UTC)

Banshee Handling IV
vector40 has written a series of articles on Banshee control - he's now added a fourth segment, but this one is narrated video instead of text. It's rather long (ten and a half minutes), but it covers several key strategy points in a way that simply cannot be duplicated with written words. If you're looking for an edge in your online Banshee battles, this is worth watching. It's 55 mb large, in MPEG-4 format; looks like the encoding is unfriendly to WMP9 on a PC, but QuickTime handles it on both Macs and Windows boxes. Turns out my analysis of our bandwidth situation took into account only files.bungie.org and files2.bungie.org - mythica.org still has a goodly chunk for the rest of the month, so that's where it's being hosted. Grab it today! (Louis Wu 21:04:58 UTC)

Winning - and Losing
vector40 has written up a supplement to his ongoing Banshee discussion - this piece is called 'Winning'. It's quite long, and has very little to do with Banshees - it really is about winning - and losing. Worth a read, because it gets into some really pertinent discussions about what people do when you win, and when you lose. You can find it at the Junkyard. (Louis Wu 13:56:54 UTC)

Banshee Handling III
vector40 has posted the third segment of his ongoing series of articles on Banshee stategies - this one's entitled 'Applying Reality'. It focuses on the nitty gritty stuff - less abstract, more 'I don't care if it's pretty, I just want to kill him' stuff. It's available at Subnova and Rampancy.net as well as the link vec asked us to use this time - the one at The Junkyard. (Louis Wu 11:17:55 UTC)

Banshee Handling II: Crash and Flow
A month ago, vector40 wrote an article on Banshee flight tactics. Today, he's released part 2. It's entitled 'Crash and Flow', and covers more advanced techniques and strategies. Read the first one, if you missed it... then read this one. It's currently hosted at Rampancy.net (link above), but should be available at the Junkyard and Subnova in the not-too-distant future. Of Banshees, and Winning
vector40, once a prominent member of the Halo community, has returned with a vengeance because of the release of the Mac version, and re-entrance is marked with an article on Banshee flight tactics. It's been posted to the Junkyard, Subnova, and Rampancy.net - but only the Subnova version isn't actually visible yet. Worth a read; at the moment, he's competing only against folks playing on 1.02 servers, but even on 1.03 servers, there aren't THAT many people implementing some of these concepts. (Louis Wu 09:13:21 UTC)
