on unknown covenant cruiser
...The master chief was half sprawled out on the floor and with no shield when a hunter came right up to him and and almost about to shoot a fuel-rod blast at point blank when, a lucky sniper shot from linda went tearing through the hunters unprotected throat.
"Thanks Linda, I owe you won." said chief
"you mean you owe me a few, right chief." Linda said mockingly.
Cortana, were to next?" asked chief, in a narrow hallway of the cruiser.
"the path to your left should take you right to the reactors, and from there go to the door that I will highlite with a NAV point. Got it?"
"got it Cortana." replied chief.
only two marines and three ODST's remained.
They entered the reactor room, there were only a handfull of sleeping grunts and a single rookie elite who was apparently buisy with a engineer.
"Wattson,Duncan and Sanchez, silently kill the grunts with your knives."ordered the chief."Garcia and Jacobs take out the elite, eveyone got it?" asked chief.
"yes,sir chief we are all ready." said Linda.
When everyone else moved out the chief and Linda went to work on planting the FURY on the main reactor.
"Agh...." Wattson moaned, as a grunt woke and fired a fully-charged plasma pistol blast at his chest. His whole chest was melted to his muscle.
"Crap! I will go help!" Linda charged the frantic grunt.
" got it! the FURY is set!" yelled chief."lets move to the docking bay!"
"I will set the NAV point." said Cortana. The NAV point appeared on the chiefs HUD.
"Eveyone, move to the NAV point!" barked Linda. they ran for the docking bays door.
The door to the docking bay slid open and the remaining soldiers ran inside.
"Lock that door, Cortana!"ordered chief.
"working on it chief."replied Cortana.
A half a minute later the doors locked shut. The chief spotted a docked phantom dropship.
"Hurry, covenant troops on there way!" yelled Sanchez.
The chief looked down on the bottom level to see three Brutes walk in. they fired their plasma-grenade launchers.
Three explosions rocked the level they were on, and only Duncan,Linda,chief were left. the other marines were splattered everywhere.
" we need to take those out!" yelled Duncan.
"I am on It!" replied Linda.She fired her 4 sniper rounds and took out two of the Brutes,when the third one fired another grenade-launcher round...and missed the Chief by inches.
"Cortana, activate tha phantom." ordered chief.
"Already done." Said Cortana.
The phantom floated upward and Linda and chief boarded it.
"Duncan, get on!" Screamed Linda. but the young marine got hit in the side by a plasma rifle blast and doubled over in pain.
" we need to help..." Linda shut her mouth when a stealth elite activate his plasma blade and cut the young marine in two... and he lay dead in his own blood and gore.
The phantom lurched forward, and took of through the bay.
when they were a safe distance away from the cruiser the chief gave the word to Cortana to detonate the FURY tactical Nuclear bomb. The chief and Linda watched the covenant cruiser explode into a thousand fragments, remebering the marines who died.
"lets get to the ground and help the UNSC to get these freakin freaks of Earth."Said chief
"Ya, lets go chief." replied Linda.
The phantom landed in a UNSC encampment. chief and Linda departed from the phantom and were rewarded with things said about them like "They are gods." They entered the seargent's tent.
"whats the status down here?"asked chief.
"its not very good... we have taken heavy casualities and one of our strike teams sent out to destroy a covenant encampment has not returned on time and we can not get radio connection...we think they might been neutrilized."
"Linda will stay here seargent and I will go see if the strike team made it out."
"all right,I will lend you a group of marines for support."said the seargent.
"Thank you seargent." replied chief.
The chief an the group of four heavily armed marines move out. one marine had a sniper and a assault rifle while all the other marines had battle rifles and a pistols. the chief had a SMG and an shotgun.
They moved along to the covenant encampment.
"The strike team moved out a four hours ago and where supposed to return one hour ago.Radio connections are gone."
"Thank you private."Said chief.
With more information chief picked up the pace to the encampment. after a nother 10 minutes of traveling they reached the camp.
"Lets go, but stay quiet. this is a small camp but it is still dangerous." said chief.
The group move toward the camp. When they reached the camp there were bodies scattered eveywhere.
"Wow...they had a rough time." said a marine staring at a mangled body of an ODST.
"They scattered and searched in the tents...but there were surprisingly no covenant troops.
"Weres all the covenant?" saked a marine.
"Who knows, but we better..."The marine was cut-short when A black elite stepped out of a shadow and plunged a plasma blade through his torso.
"Fire!"yelled chief. the troops all opened fire. the elites shield took most of the fire, and it cut another marine in two. The black elite lost its shields, the lead bullets cut the elite down.They quickly moved out of that tent to enter another finding only ODST bodies hanging from the tent by their necks...
