ODST Releasing on May 29th?
Xbox.com is listing Halo 3: ODST for MCC as a May 29th release - that's only a few days away! Keep in mind that this might be a placeholder. Thanks, uberfoop. Update: It seems that the link has been taken down. Hmm... (colindosaj 23:21:52 UTC)

Mid-air turret ramming
Hmm... that title sounds vaguely pornographic. Don't worry - it's not. Rockslider returned to the Dropship Turret Removal technique he played with a while back (1 | 2 | 3 | 4), discovering that the turret is rammable in mid-air, leading to some interesting fun! Take a look. (Louis Wu 21:30:23 UTC)

Cheesecake... or maybe Gun cake
Hmm... Impact Props has fired up a Kickstarter project that's already fully funded (and then some)... are you interested in a 2015 Car Calendar featuring Master Chief? Go jump on board! (Thanks to gamerguy2002 for this one, too.) (Louis Wu 18:12:10 UTC)

The Halo Community, and its influence - one fan's view
Hey, let's do a little catch-up. It's been a busy week (and yes, it really did just start). A few days ago, Gagnon 30 wrote an article looking at the "Halo Community" (it's in quotes because in this context it's pretty hard to define), and what they want - or, more accurately, what they SAY they want. Or what SOME of them say they want. Hmm... these qualifiers could become a pretty deep rabbit hole if I'm not careful... Anyway, Gagnon 30 has a pretty strong view about this subject, and you can read his thoughts (and comment on the article) at Teabag or Die. (Louis Wu 18:30:03 UTC)

Thanks that make you go hmm...
demoncarnataur stopped in with a link to a NeoGAF thread that's looking at a game recently rated by the Korean Game Rating Board. The name is 'Bootcamp', and the description is pretty intriguing:

"A TPS game based on 'Halo' universe where player complete various types of missions."

It is slated for PC/online release... no date given. Will this appear in the US as well? Only time will tell. Update: Gamefront reached out to Microsoft and received a confirmation regarding the games existence. According to a Microsoft spokesperson, 'Bootcamp' isn't part of the Reclaimer saga and won't appear on the newly announced Xbox One console - interesting! Thanks, wwm0nkey. (Louis Wu 18:07:08 UTC)

FuD Blu-Ray Review, from IGN
IGN reviewed the Forward Unto Dawn Blu-Ray release - they liked it. (Gave it a 9.1, even. Hmm... actually, now that I think about it, for IGN, that's failing, isn't it?) Thanks, CyReN. (Louis Wu 16:23:19 UTC)

Brute-Free in One Three
Last night's Halo Bulletin showed a Halo 4 Achievement that requires the use of a Gravity Hammer - which led some people to believe that Brutes might be making a reappearance. Apparently not, according to Frank. Hmm... (Thanks, Grim.) (Louis Wu 19:53:44 UTC)

X360 Magazine has decided to talk to a rocket scientist about the credibility of Halo's science. It's an interesting read, even if it's not horribly surprising. ;) Thanks, Shadders. (Louis Wu 18:33:11 UTC)

Now THAT looks awesome.
Over at NeoGAF, WJD posted a photo of the cover of the May 2012 OXM UK mag (the "Exclusive Subscribers' Cover"!) - we've hosted a local copy for convenience' sake. Take a look - it shows off a gun we haven't seen before! It's not a grenade launcher, and it's not a Spartan Laser. Hmm... (Tom Van Sinden 17:50:43 UTC)

You make my skull hurt
GameFront has a little tidbit from Chad 'Shishka' Armstrong, the guy who hid Halo: Anniversary's skulls throughout the game. He wanted to make the skulls hard to acquire - but he learned the lesson from Halo 3 that just making the triggers complicated won't work, because modders can just read them out from the code. Grabbing some of THESE skulls is going to be tough - even if you know where they are. Hmm... (Louis Wu 16:41:23 UTC)

Hmm... not Benny Hill, exactly...
It's no secret that lots of folks look for shortcuts to make some of the Challenges a bit easier. A couple of days ago, c0ld vengeance outlined a technique for grinding out this week's Weekly Challenge in just a couple of minutes. A day later, Beckx described the game film resulting from using this technique as "a goofy montage of elite stutter-death"... and today, Riceatron brings us a visual demonstration. (Azo 'Galvat rendered it for him, so you can watch it online.) That one's just crying out for the right soundtrack... (Louis Wu 13:22:57 UTC)
