Spiral Path MegaBattle - Media Overload at Bad Cyborg
Rockslider's back with a new pair of MegaBattle movies - two different ways to approach the Spiral Path megabattle on Assault on the Control room. Swing by his forum post for links to all the goodies - writeups, screenshots, videos. (His site now has an RSS feed, for those who want more instant notification of updates.) Take your hula-hoop thing!
Captain Spark let us know that he'd collected another 9 dialogue snippets from Halo 2 - Johnson's in fine form. You can grab them at his website (check out the hudless Halo 1 megabattle shots while you're there), or browse them in our Dialogue Databank. (Louis Wu 16:07:37 UTC)

Zanzibar Megabattle pics
Falcon Zero sent along a pair of Megabattle pics (first, second) composed on the recently-released Zanzibar mod for Halo CE. Awesome! (Louis Wu 15:26:48 UTC)

Junkies MegaBattles
Konrad, a regular at HBO Junkies' lanfests, has recreated some memorable scenes from events held here over the years, in Megabattle style. (If you've forgotten - or never learned - what a Megabattle pic is all about, just search our news.) Now, you might not have any real context for the moments themselves (most people reading this have never been to a lanfest here), but the pics are pretty cool in their own right. Check 'em out! Action Figures can be fun.
The recent Action Figure Megabattle pics have spawned a NEW type of submission - one I want to discourage, because the potential for total picture overload is super-high... but there were a couple of shots that made me laugh, so I thought I'd share. Nedus took some pics of his own action figures; these aren't composites, they're regular photos. (Please - again, we do NOT have the time or space to host hundreds of these - do NOT send us your own posed shots. Really.) Two of 'em - 'Hold Me' and 'Prepare to Die' - got a chuckle out of me. (Hold me might be considered by some to be spoiler-containing. Sort of.) (Louis Wu 16:16:29 UTC)

A whole new kind of megabattle
Mintz08 decided to try the Megabattle technique (fixed camera, multiple composited shots) with Halo action figures, rather than ingame - interesting results. Plasmanator tossed in his own offering. A new creative option? (Louis Wu 11:05:48 UTC)

Megabattle Tourney Matches
Dolbex has been playing with the Megabattle picture technique (search our news if this doesn't mean anything to you), and has recreated a few key moments from MLG games. There are four static shots, and one panoramic. Pretty slick! (Registration - free - required to see the pics.) (Louis Wu 15:17:25 UTC)

A Tribute to RvB
Wow - that's unique. ][-][awaiian pig has taken the Megabattle screenshot technique in a new direction - he's reproduced 'set pieces' from Red vs Blue episodes. Don't think I ever would have thought of that one... (Attention to detail is amazing.) (Louis Wu 13:48:46 UTC)

MegaBattle Redux
The whole MegaBattle concept is being expanded over at the Gearbox Forums - check the top several threads for fantastic examples. A new technique, documented in this thread by king_nothing, allows for some incredible vehicle-in-air shots with multiple players inside. Again - this technique REQUIRES Halo Custom Edition; the detachable camera is not available in the stock Halo PC. C'mon... download it. You know you want to. (And once you do, jump online and look for some of the servers hosting great new maps.) (Louis Wu 10:15:45 UTC)

More Megabattle stuff
Okay, last one of these for a while, unless some REALLY killer shots turn up. Falcon Zero posted another pair of shots, Konrad tried his hand on Infinity, and The Ghost reminisced about the way it USED to be. One of these days, we'll have to set up a section for this kind of thing... (Louis Wu 12:53:20 UTC)

More Megabattle pics
The Megabattle technique pioneered by n00bles last week has been played with by other fans - it looks like fun! BOLL got started recently (that's a 299k JPEG - I'm guessing it's only the beginning), and yesterday VALENCE posted some shots on our forum. If past experience is any indication, I'm guessing that a flood of new visual content will be pouring out of the community soon. Update: Looks like MereCatfish is getting into the act, as well. Very nice set piece on Fissure Falls! (Louis Wu 08:23:56 UTC)

Halo MegaBattles
n00bles, a member of Fungi (the group that made Fissure Fall), has been making a series of battle pictures over at the Gearbox forums - there are shots of Blood Gulch, Sidewinder, and Timberland, as well as custom maps like Fissure Falls. This post explains how he made them. Extremely cool! (Thanks to TURBO for pointing this thread out.) (Louis Wu 19:43:10 UTC)
