The Xbox World 360 Machinima Contest!
What is it?
Xbox World 360, a UK-based magazine devoted to the Xbox 360, is holding a machinima contest. Favorites (heck, they're British, that should be 'favourites') will be showcased on the cover DVDs for Xbox World 360 - and will eventually be available for download, possibly at lower resolution, from HBO.
What can I win?
Well, as we said, favourites will be distributed in hi-res format on the cover DVD of a major UK gaming mag. An overall winner will also receive a free game.
What do I have to do?
You have to create a machinima project, using an Xbox/Xbox360 game.
- Entries will be submitted to HBO via this interface.
- Any Xbox game may be used (and while all submissions are eligible for inclusion on the cover DVDs, only Halo-based ones will be made available at HBO down the road)
- There are no length restrictions.
- Minimum resolution is 640x480.
- You must not use copyrighted music without the author's consent.
- In-game music may be used.
- Overall winner will be announced on March 1 - so if you want your project to be eligible for the overall prize, you need to submit before then. Submissions will be continue to be accepted after that point, for possible inclusion on future covers.
The Fine Print
