Halo Map Designs (Proposed)

On April 10, This Side Up announced on the HBO Forum that he was creating some new Halo map designs in AutoCAD. They've even got weapons, health, powerups, and flag placement listed. There's no guarantee that these will ever be able to be built... but some interesting ideas have gone into them.

Circle Map

The 'circle' images take place on a pipe supported circular map. If players are not careful they could fall off this map.

Fog-War Map

'fog-war'is a King of the hill type map with all the pistols and zoom weapons in the center on a high platform. Half way down the plaform extends a layer of fog that cannot be seen through. Players below the fog cannot see those on either of the higher platforms. Players can be seen by both those below and above when standing on the short plateaus in the arena. In each of the for corners are warp doors with medkits in front of them. These doors warp players to the highest platform structure where powerups (invisibility/overshield) are located. This allows players to take advantage of those on the platform below.

I textured this in AutoCAD, rendered it, and saved each. Oh yeah also FoWrender3blurred was edited in Photoshop since I couldn't get a decent fog twxture in AutoCAD.

Pipe Preview

This is a sneak-peek at half of one of my other designs. It's not finished. It's a compact tunnel arena where explosives can be devastating when properly used. More to come.
