great story, just a few inconsistencies...that many covie theyd already own the planet, no? if was human, must have been bare bones military base if we nuked it...but then it wouldnt warrant such a big covie assault. Marine Corps...btw

Well Ishkabibble, they were going to charge the base, and in close combat, you need a Bayonet, just in case! Its a Marine thing, be prepared for anything.

One thing, why kamkazi the covenant with some bayonets? They reduce acuracy and I'm pretty sure a single hunter could take out a few hundred marines with a scenerio like that.
