Excellent work. My only recommendation is to describe the outpost a little more.
If that's coming in your next installment, great. But it adds more to the story to know what kind of defenses are in place and what kind of structures are there (Forerunner buildings, tents, pre-fab buildings... etc.).
Otherwise, great job.
