Nope. Some_Guy is another person whom I know from another forum. His fanfics get started, but never end. There are a few rules I follow with fanfics...
1.) Never use MC.
2.) Stay conservative (rules out Covenant for the most part because I don't have 100% understanding of every race and motive)
3.) Never use any of Halo's things. No Halo ring (just the one in the game, granted), no Halo characters, just the species and idea.
4.) Always use Lunar 4.
When I started my first fanfic around a year and three months ago (The Fall of Lunar 4) I had no idea the fanfic would be long. It was planned to be a bunch of little, almost anonymous five page fanfics. Then, as time went on it becamse the 70 page monolith that it is now. In retrospect I have only one regret... Lunar 4. It needs a better name, dammit! I don't learn from that mistake anyways... Later I make the "Neo Covenant" a Terrorist group that made an appearance in one of my fanfics. I had assumed the name would mean little, but soon they showed up in at least two more of my fanfics.
I really should update Dispraiser.tripod.com... I think I'll remove the other people's sites. Bandwidth is clocking one or two hits a month in each, and I don't have enough space to post my fanfics there. I moved off to spaceports but...

Mmhmm. Now that's the good stuff right there. Great job Dispraiser... heh heh, forget the Elites, I wanna see this guy climb out of a 200-foot pit with ten minutes to get out of the nukes' kill radius. 9.8/10, because there was an abundancy of grammar errors in it not usually found in your stories. Oh well. And would "Some_Guy" at dispraiser.tripod be you? It had some Covenant stuff on there. Keep up the good writing.
