Well, personally I love the Halo storyline (plot) and so reading this was like...was like...trying to eat...Raviolli (prob. not spelled right) made my someone who has eaten a little bit of the stuff before and tried to make it themselves without reviewing a recipe.
I mean, I am really big on people keeping with the Halo storyline (unless they are doing an original piece of work) which, it sounds to me, like you are not. It only sounds like you played Halo and decided to write a story down about your personal fightings through the game Halo: Combat Evolved, or for PC.
I'm sure you had good intentions, but (which by the way, the word "BUT" totally negates anything that comes before it) you really shoudln't do that again. If you are going to even TRY to write FF based off of the game you must remember to do it from a different point of view. Like (yes, i'm using an example) CoLd recently did from the KEYES level (if i'm not mistaken). He did it from a Covie point of view, not the same-old-same-old thing. You can't write a story about the MC going through the game. It's already been done. It's called:
Halo: The Flood; by William C. Dietz
It sounds like you haven't even heard of it. Excuse me if I am incorrect. It sounds like it is remotely possible that you have read H:tFoR (by the way, to be nice; if you had read "Halo: The Fall Of Reach" you would know what the short abbriviation stood for) but I would say that chance is pobably 2:10.
Please, for Halo's sake, read the books based on it's storyline and of course the all mighty game. Even if you decide to never write FF (fan fiction) again, I strongly encourage all who associate themselves with Halo to read all the books (and for reference):
Halo: The Fall Of Reach (H:tFoR); by Eric Nylund; this book is the backstory of the game, which leads up to the game and its' novel:
Halo: The Flood (H:tF); by William C. Dietz
-and the latest novel, leading up to Halo 2, and explaing what actually happened on REACH and the aftermath of what happenend to HALO:
Halo: First Stike (H:FS); by Eric Nylund
Please, anyone, including Mr. Author, that is involved with Halo, read these books (*cough* I swear I'm not an obsessive addict to Halo *cough* BUT *cough* I have personally read these four+ times each *cough* I'm such a geek and loser *cough* or maybe not *cough*)
Well I think that I've filled up this page with enough of my comments and secret association to the sales of all things Halo. Of course, alot of us in the HBO FF section are secretly...er...um...uh...unofficially working for Wendy's...er...Microsoft/Bungie/ONI.

I have to agree. I mean, Grunts run away! And since I havn't read Halo: The Flood or any of those (though I wish I could) it seemes okay. Just one question: why did PETE get shot and the other guy call out SAM? Maybe I read it wrong. And I don't think it's so much a case of not writing something orignal. I mean, if you didn't know the books existed, writing the story would seem perfctly feasible!

fine. i get the idea. positive coments plz, my life is in a down strut so thats just making me feel just pissy inside. besides, i wish we had grunts in the on our team than marines.
