The Battle for New Mombassa
New Orders: Take The Mall
There stands the Master Chief and Eight lone ODSTs facing a whole covenant 6th battalion.
Boom! A grunt throws a plasma grenade that starts the battle for the mall. "MOVE, Behind that box" yells the Chief while trying to hold off the onslaught so the marines can get to cover. The marines split up between two big boxes. Master Chief fined his own sorts of cover behind a giant pillar. "Okay" yelled the Chief over the continuous plasma fire. "Take as many as you can out, if you run out of ammo tell me". The marines shout back "Yes sir". The Chief scopes out four grunts all in the face but one who had is chest blown.
He know to take out them because the throw those grenades.He sees an unsheilded elite just begging to be shot. So he does right in the face immediately killing him. Almost every marine has a different weapon. Two have snipers secondary armed with BR55s. Three with the old MA5B assault rifles secondary armed with SMGs. The last two marines armed with BR55s and the rocket launcher. They all used there weapons wisely against the covenant battalion. "You two snipers take the position at the top of that building" Chief shouted. "Yes sir". "GO". The Master Chief lay out a barrage of cover fire so the marines could get into a good sniper position so they could give Cheif some cover.
BOOM! "Good shot" says one marine to another as he blows the arms and legs off two minor elites the got in the way of the rocket launchers high explosive rounds. This isn't working thought the Chief. We need to find a way around them, or a big enough explosion to stun the commander. The Chief thought while still taking the lives of covenant to tread to close to his own position. I know. An air strike. "Marine, give me that radio now". The marine shot once more then bent over to seize the radio. "Ok Chief catch". He tossed the radio to the Chief that he caught with one hand while still shooting
"Cover me" He sat down to tune the radio "come in, do you read, do you read". Chhhh.
Only static answered him. He tried another station number 45. "Hello, do you read me, over. This time an answer from a human. "I read you, over". "This is Master Chief requesting an air strike, over". Chhhh. "Ok you coordinates please". It was hard to hear the radio over the plasma fire and explosions of the marine's grenades. "My coordinates are, 453 south, 469 north, over. "I read, air strike on the way, over.
About two minutes after he called it, two longsword fighters came about from the orange sky dropped two fusion non nuclear bombs in the midst of the covenant battalion. The two explosions broke to twenty as the bombs dropped over the covenant.
After the barrage smoke claimed the landscape of the city not harming the mall. The Chief moved up to a new position behind a busted up old car. POW! The Chief heard sniper fire behind him. He turned to see veteran elite with his head blown off. "I got you covered" yelled one of the snipers still on top the building. He turned to the front to see a couple of spec op grunts. Easy to take out with the BR55. Those were his last shots in that clip. He ducked behind the car to reload. As he reloaded he heard more sniper fire but from a covenant beam rifle. He reloaded stood up to see a couple of sniper jackals.
He killed them both with a well placed grenade. Turned to see that one more marine had died due to the snipers. The one with the BR55 had his stomach shot out. The Master Chief had no time to morn his fallen comrade. He knew more covenant were on the way. He had to get himself and the remaining men out of this death trap. He signals the marines to follow him. They walk to a road. Chief knows this should take them around to the mall. BOOM! Two hunter bust from a wall. The Master Chief immediately signals them to fire. The sniper takes one out but the other is enraged over his fallen brother. He charges the marine head on with its massive shield that kills him on impact. Chief sees a moment of opportunity he shoots the hunter six times with the BR55 in the back that kills it instantly.
