Blood.
Dripping, slipping, rivers flowing
The sources of it are unknowing
Whether they be living or dying--
Some of them have just stopped trying.
Sweat.
Toil of labor for the home
To defeat the Covenant (as they are known.)
To defend their beloved earthly home--
These Marine's love of country has been shown.
Tears.
Running down a soldier's cheek
As he wanders, lost and weak.
What is it that he does seek?
Rest from battle's cursed reek.
Remember the dead Marines.
