Note from the Author: Well this is my first attempt at a covenant fan fic, so comments would be greatly appreciated.

"Ship Master, we have lost our port shields. The last human round deformed our nose, structural integrity is failing." Ship Master Hera 'Nafallaye reexamined the tactical situation. "Order Burning Soul and Endless Remorse to take up positions on our port side, they will shield us while we break for the planets surface."

The Sangheili at communications sent the message, on the view screen both destroyers took up shield positions. Ancient Prophesy began its descent towards the surface of the planet known as "Earth" in the infidels language.

The Cruiser accelerated as she entered orbit, her shields shimmering as the heat burned around her. "Fires in corridors A through G, removing flammable atmosphere". The ship tilted slightly to starboard as she vented atmosphere. Seraphs from the super carrier Unyielding Fury took up swarming protections around Ancient Prophesy, guiding her down to the surface.

"Stabilize, put lower shields to full power. Huragok crews to damage stations. Let the Forerunners watch over and protect our landing."

Ancient Prophesy stopped 100 meters from the surface. She began precision station keeping, as well as engaging her gravity lift. Hera motioned for the two Lekgolo guards to join him, proceeding towards the gravity lift bay. As they walked they saw several corridors with evidence of the space battle. Scorch marks and the florescent blood of the Covenant stained the walls.

Sangheili Major Dhoti 'Heaume prepared his unit for inspection. The glistening blue armor of his fellow Sangheili reflected with the light from wall panels. Kig-Yar snipers checked over their rifles with lethal precision. Ship Master 'Nafallaye entered the bay, his Lekgolo guards towering over all others. All attention turned to him, as he climbed atop a Wraith tank.

"Warriors of the Covenant, my brothers. We have been blessed by the Forerunners with a most glorious task. We will be the first to bring the fight to the surface of this planet. I will accompany you into battle, leaving only a security detail behind. Show no mercy to these infidels, who would defile even our most holy of worlds. So is the will of the Prophets, and we shall be their most dangerous blades. GLORY TO THE COVENANT".

Hera thrust his energy blade into the air, and his fellow Sangheili returned the salute with rifles and blades. Once he was off the Wraith the gravity lift started lowering battalions down towards the surface.

Adele 'Sautyrne engaged his active camouflage, as did the 5 other Sangheili in his unit. The 6 covenant infiltrators had dropped ahead of Ancient Prophesy's landing. Their pods had landed in the middle of a human city. They had advanced some distance before they ran into this infidel roadblock. Several of the humans pitiful warriors blocked admittance to an elevated path. The Sangheili moved with stealth and cunning, surrounding the human position.

'Sautyrne raised his carbine, centering it on the closest humans head. He knew that the rest of his unit would be doing this as well. As he gently pulled the trigger, the radio active round formed and excited the chamber. It entered into the humans skull, disintegrating only seconds after entry. The only evidence left was the glowing green entry wound. The other Sangheili fired, and within seconds all humans lay dead.

The Sangheili walked amongst the corpses, pausing to insure each of the vermin was truly dead. They had a nasty habit of playing dead, dishonoring their fellow's with their cowardliness. 'Sautyrne regrouped his unit and they preceded towards their objective. As they engaged active camouflage they became one with the shadows, ready to destroy all that stood against them.

'Nafallaye stood atop his Scarab walker. Below his warriors crushed through human defenses, leaving no survivors in their wake. His Lekgolo guards stood on either side of him, awaiting their turn to bring honor to their race.

'Nafallaye would honor that commitment, as he planned to join the fighting shortly. He activated his holographic drone, connecting him to Major 'Heaume, the ghostly image of the veteran Sangheili shimmered into view."You summon me Ship Master"?

'Nafallaye gave 'Heaume a grunt of respect. "Your forces have advanced farther then any other, you are to be commended for your bravery and skill Major. I have decided to join your warriors in combat. Ill will also be telling Fleet Master 'Appysta of your courageousness. You have brought me great honor."

Major 'Heaume dropped to his knee, crossing his arms across his chest. "I deserve no such honor Ship Master, it will be honor enough to fight along side one as legendary as yourself". The Major stood and thrust his Energy blade high in the air. "I await your arrival". With that 'Nafallaye deactivated his drone. He turned towards the Lekgolo Toda Neut, signaling for his troops to prepare for combat.

A Pantom arrived shortly after, hovering ten meters from the scarab. 'Nafallaye and his personal guard stepped into the gravity lift, then they moved towards war.

The pantom swooped in over ruined building, coming to a hover over a small opening. Ahead warriors of the covenant engaged heavily entrenched human positions.

First into the gravity lift were the two Lekgolo, who took up shield positions at the bottom. Next five Sangheili in the silver armor of commandos drifted to the surface, their various weapons scanning for any conceivable threat. Finally Ship Master 'Nafallaye came to rest on the ground. Their path took them along a small alley way, leading straight to the temporary command center. With the Lekgolo pair in front, they began the short trek.

One of the verminous ships flew over head, and buildings ahead exploded in flames. Humans clad in black armor strode through the flames, stopping in horror as they saw the Lekgolo pair. Toda Neut raised his fuel rod cannon, firing straight towards the infidels. The round connected with one the humans, his armor melting away and his skin catching fire.

The rest of the humans returned fire, however there rounds bounced harmlessly off shields. Toda Neut's bond brother, Kayo Neut brought his shield up to cover. The commando Sangheili dropped to the ground, firing under the hulking giants. Humans quickly began to fall to as their armor melted away. When the fight was over the air was rich with the scent of burnt flesh. One of the commandos un clipped his pistol, shooting each human in the head... To be Continued.
