Hey there, i apologize for the format. This is a HALO screen play i have been working on. Of course the format as i said has obviously changed, but i am sure that you will be able to read it Okay.
This IS NOT the whole script, obviously.

Ext. (Introduction)planet harvest
A large command Center is in view from birds eye perspective. A Rhino tank and Warthog vehicles drive past. Marines can be seen talking and yelling commands. A marine is guiding a Rhino tank into a hangar. A pelican drop ship can be seen landing on a landing pad. Commander Rundulf is standing at a large window watching over the action.
Commander Rundulf
Teila, what is the status of the Pillar Of Autumn?
A console is sitting next to the window. A holographic image of a young girl flickers into view.
Teila
The Pillar of Autumn is on route as we speak. Cryo Bay 2 is preparing for the Spartans departure.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Excellent. Thank you Teila. We may just win this war after all. Earths defense grid needs these Spartans. This program is humanities last hope. Give me an update on base operations...
TEILA
Alpha team are on their way back from scout patrol. Nothing is out of the ordinary. And... there we go, Cryo Bay 2 is now ready for the Pillar of Autumns arrival.
We see a room filled with Cryo genetic tubes. Inside are spartan soldiers. Workers are busily making last minute adjustments.
We then see a large ship heading for the planet. It is the Pillar of Autumn.

This is captain Keyes of the U.N.S.C Pillar of Autumn. Harvest do you read.
TEILA
Sir, i am getting a transmission from the Pillar of Autumn, sending to main view screen.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Pillar of Autumn, this is commander Rundulf of the Harvest Spartan research military facility. I read you loud and clear.
CAPTAIN KEYES
Very good Commander. My crew are now ready for your Spartans. Our E.T.A is minus 3 minutes.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Excellent Captain Keyes. I will have you know that these Spartans are the very best. The covenant won't know what hit them.
Two marines are standing outside a hangar both smoking. When they hear a rumble and a giant scream breaks the sky. The Pillar of Autumn floats elegantly over the base it positions itself over the top of it.

Their she is. The autumn.
Marine #2
They say she's the fastest ship in all the U.N.S.C ships.
To the marines surprise two cloaked Elites watch on from a distance.
int. High charity prophets chamber
The prophet of Truth is sitting in his hovering chair in his chamber. Three Elites walk up the aisle and kneel before him.
elite
My Lord, we have received word that the humans have finished assembling their....demons. Their transport ship has arrived. How would you like us to proceed?
The prophets eyes open slowly.
prophet of truth
The time as finally come. Send out one of our cruisers, and cleanse them all. We cannot let the humans escape with those demons! Do you understand? If you fail me...you will pay the consequences just like your brother did. You do remember what happened?
The Elite, becomes intimidated and nervous
ELITE
Yes my Lord, we shall not fail you. We will not let the humans escape our grasp; They will perish under our feet.
The elite bows his head and leaves the room. The prophet lays back in his chair, and closes his eyes once more.
ext. harvest
The Pillar of Autumn is now sitting above the base. Small transport ships are now descending down towards the base. They land on the platform. Commander Rundulf walks out onto the platform. The first transport ship lands, and Captain Keyes exits.
CAPTAIN KEYES
Commander Rundulf, It's a pleasure to meet you in person.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Same to you Captain, It's an honor.
CAPTAIN KEYES
Please, it's an honor to meet you.
Captains Keyes daughter, exits from the ship.
Miranda keyes
Oh please you two.
Captain Keyes smiles
CAPTAIN KEYES
Commander Rundulf this is my beautiful daughter, Miranda.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Please to meet you Miranda.
MIRANDA KEYES
Pleasures all mine Commander. So are these Spartans all prepped and ready for transport?
COMMANDER RUNDULF
They certainly are.
Commander Rundulf notifies Teila.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Teila?
TEILA
Yes, Commander?
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Have all Cryo Chamber personal bring up the Spartans at once. They need to be on the Autumn ASAP.
TEILA
I understand Commander, Cryo bay personal will begin transferring the Spartan units onto the Pillar of Autumn at once, anything else Commander?
COMMANDER RUNDULF
That will be all Teila, thank you.
Teila nods, and she fades away. Personal start wheeling out the Cryo tubes on hovering platforms. First to arrive on the ship is SPARTAN JOHN 117. Following behind are the other Spartan soldiers.
From the distance the two marines look on.
MARINE #1
Wow, the first ever Spartan to leave for the defense grid.
Commander Rundulf, captain Keyes and Miranda all Solute Spartan 117 as he gets wheeled onto the transport ship.
The two cloaked Elites walk towards the two marines. one presents its energy sword and it pierces through one of the marines backs. The other marine startled realizes whats going on and runs for the platform.
MARINE #2
Their here! The Covenant! Their her...
A blast of plasma energy hits the marine in the back, he falls to the ground. Horrified and confused Commander Rundulf and Captain Keyes as well as Miranda look around startled the Elite uncloaks itself and walks towards the platform. Rundulf, Keyes and Miranda all look up in the sky.
MIRANDA KEYES
Oh, my god...
In the sky emerging from the clouds is a giant Covenant cruiser. Sirens and alarms sound through out the base. Marines spill out onto the platform. Commander Rundulf contact Teila.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Teila, get everyone to their stations now!
TEILA
Yes commander, but what about the other Spartans?
Gunfire and plasma shots start raining all over the platform. More Elites emerge themselves. Covenant drop ships start dropping down more Covenant forces. Captain Keyes and Miranda start ducking and firing their pistols. Miranda hits an elite.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
We have to abort the program, it's too risky getting them on board the Autumn.
TEILA
Commander, what about you? What are you going to do?
COMMANDER RUNDULF
I'm going to show these Covenant bastards who their dealing with...
TEILA
Captai...
A shot of plasma hits Commander Rundulf's hand. Destroying the device that Teila was on. Rundulf takes on as much of the elites as he can.
COMMANDER RUNDULF
Get that Spartan to the defense grid, captain!
Captain Keyes nods.
CAPTAIN KEYES
Miranda you need to get this Spartan to the Defense grid, go now.
MIRANDA KEYES
What?! What about you? You're coming aren't you?
Tears form in Miranda eyes.
CAPTAIN KEYES
I'm going to stay here and help the Commander. I'll be right behind you. I'll be on the next transport out. I promise you. Now take this Spartan and head for the defense grid. Cortana will no what to do. You're in charge of the Autumn now. I love you.
Miranda starts sobbing. The door closes.
MIRANDA KEYES
...dad...
The ship leaves for the Autumn. Parts of the facility explode. Captain Keyes continues to look up at the ship. He blows a kiss to Miranda. Colored plasma dance around him. He then gets shot by an elite. As he falls he smiles up at Miranda. She screams in silence as the ship continues to descend.
We see Rhino tanks firing, Warthog guns firing. The marines are being slaughtered. Commander Rundulf runs out of ammo, as he tries to kill an Elite that is approaching him. The Elite laughs.
BIRIAN
You're race will burn in the fires of our great demise.
The Elite stabs Rundulf with his energy sword. The great Covenant cruiser hovers directly over the base. A great beam bears down on the base and is annihilated. As this happens the Autumn speeds off into super drive.
Everything settles. Dead marine bodies lay scatted across the ground. Smoking carnage of tanks and warthogs also scatter the plain. An elite approaches a stand with the prophet. He appears.
BIRIAN
My Lord, Harvest as been cleansed. But one of the demons has escaped. Shall we intercept and follow?
The prophet is disgusted and annoyed. He then smiles.
PROPHET OF TRUTH
Tell the others to intercept and follow the cruiser. I want you to come back to high charity. They will lead us straight to Earth. Tell them Once you have located the ship to inform me. I want them to Destroy the ship before it reaches the border of Earth. Understand.
The Elite nods and boards a small transport ship. It towards the cruiser. We see a higher point of the carnage. Image fades away.
(Title credits will play and appear.)
ext.Cortana's condolences.
The Pillar of Autumn slowly wades itself through space. Miranda Keyes makes her way to the observation deck and stares out into the stars. Cortana appears on a console on a table behind her.

Miranda...I know that I am not human. But I am neither blind. I am sorry Miranda. Your father loved you very much, I could see that...We will be entering the Defense grid in a few days.
Cortana then fades back in her console. Miranda looks back at the console and wraps her arms around herself and looks back out into the stars
EXT. Spartan Disappointment.
A giant central space station is in focus. It is the Cairo Station. We see the large expanses of how big it actually is. The Pillar of Autumn can be seen approaching the station. There are a dozen more situated around the earth. A control officers voice is heard.
Control officer (v.o)
Cairo Station to Pillar of Autumn, you have granted access to gate 2 over.
The Pillar of Autumn docks on the outside of the station. We then are in Lord Hoods office.

One Spartan, we cannot win this god damn war with just one Spartan! Jesus Christ! How in gods name did the Covenant find Harvest huh? Somebody please tell me!!
Two marines are standing in his office. Lt. Ashley Cooper and Lt. Hayden Andrews.
Andrews
Sir, permission to speak.
LORD HOOD
Yes Hayden, go on.
ANDREWS
...Covenant technology has always been superior then ours. Its more complex, more binary coding then our major computers. Our main computers and mainframes are like calculators compared to theirs. They have grown more advanced in the last four years.
General Hood nods in agreement.
LORD HOOD
What about you Lt. do you have anything to add?
cooper
…To be completely honest sir, no. I just can't believe one Covenant cruiser could take out a whole armed Facility, all that research and development just down the drain.
LORD HOOD
All this means is that we have to work harder then we have ever done. But we must remember what those men and women did. They sacrificed their lives to protect earth. That Spartan is Earths last hope, our last hope. The Covenant will soon find our location. And when that happens we must be ready.
A marine walks in the door.
MARINE
Sorry to interrupt, general.
LORD HOOD
Ah, corporate Vander, please come in. Lt Andrews, Cooper this is Corporate Alex Vander. He's been transferred from New Mombassa.
Cooper gives a wave, while Andrews nods.
Corp.Vander
I been told to inform you that the Pillar of Autumn has just docked.
The room falls silent.
LORD HOOD
Thank you Vander.
INT.Pillar of autumn
Miranda walks into the Cryobay of the Pillar of Autumn she approaches the tube where Spartan 117 is.
MIRANDA KEYES
My father sacrificed his life for you, your just one meaning less Spartan to me. What could you alone, do to save us from the Covenant?
Miranda slams her fist down on the glass.
LORD HOOD
That Spartan can do many great things.
General Hood takes his hat off and steps forward. He approaches the tube.
LORD HOOD
Its ability and endurance is far greater then any human being, they're Bred for combat, bred for war. I've seen a single spartan take down four elites in less then five seconds. Where a marine would die in less then two. This meaningless Spartan could one day save your life, Miranda.
MIRANDA KEYES
I didn't see you standing there.
LORD HOOD
Miranda, I'm sorry about your father. The UNSC will....
Miranda cuts him off.
MIRANDA KEYES
General I have just seen my father die before my eyes. I was helpless to stop him from dieing. So the answer to your question. I'm fucking great.
Miranda leaves the room.
Cortana appears on a stand next to the Cryotube.
CORTANA
Well I see that went well.
LORD HOOD
Hello, Cortana.
CORTANA
General.
She bows her head.
LORD HOOD
Cortana, what do you say to someone has has just lost someone dear to them?
CORTANA
Well general, I do not know the answer to that question. My makers did not make me understand the…human behavior. But for some reason I think I am beginning to understand it. General, Captain Keyes was my master for a number of years I served him day in and day out…I knew him quite well. I think, I am some how missing him.
LORD HOOD
Hmmmm, what I believe your feeling, is the emotion of sadness. I think we will all miss him, Cortana.
CORTANA
General, would you like me to wake him?
General Hood puts on his hat and begins to leave.
LORD HOOD
I think it's time to wake him from his beauty sleep..
CORTANA
Will this feeling of sadness last long?
LORD HOOD
...Only if you let it.
General Hood walks to the door.
LORD HOOD
Contact me when hes awake won't you?
CORTANA
Of course General.
int. Cairo station/cafeteria.
Lt.Cooper is sitting at a table playing with her food. Corporate Vander approaches her.
vander
Hey...
Cooper looks up then back at her food.
cooper
Hey...
Cooper starts to eat her food. She then takes a mouth full of water. Vander is still standing looking around.
COOPER
Are you going to sit your ass down, or what?
Vander hesitates, the sits on the opposite side of Cooper. There's an awkward silence.
COOPER
Are you always this awkward?
Vander stutters.
VANDER
Well...no...its just.
COOPER
What's the matter with you? Oh i see what it is. You can't see many girls around. Is that it?
Andrews walks up to the table.
Andrews
Oh don't worry, she's as much of a man as all of us.
COOPER
Dick!
Andrews laughs while Vander manages a smile.
ANDREWS
So, Lt.Alex Vander. What brings you from New Mombasa to up here in the most unexciting place in all of the world?
VANDER
Well i was originally stationed on the border. Doing transporting medical supplies, dropping troops. Nothing real exiting. And other times i would be on the ground doing task force operations, there's a primary base just outside the city. I mean no real action was going on.
COOPER
So your a pelican pilot by day and marine by night. Am i pilot myself. Andrews here is the brute force of the marines.
ANDREWS
I do try.
ANDREWS
Wow, well i guess you could say that. I mean i haven't seen any action yet. Its all been practice runs. Only thing I've really done is when some kid tried to sneak in the base. We all thought it was Covenant. My Sargent decided to send my up here cause i accidentally crashed our main frame. I mean you guys are so lucky to be up here.
COOPER
Kid, i don't mean to burst your bubble, but this place Isn't as exiting as what everyone says it to be. I mean i would give anything to be down on earth. Just wish Hood would transfer me.
ANDREWS
Don't listen to her, shes always complaining.
COOPER
Hey! who was the one complaining and having a temper fit back in section 4, when you lost your after shave?
ANDREWS
Hey! That was expensive! Do you know how long it took me to get that shipped up here from earth. Three weeks. You didn't know what it was like.
VANDER
Sounds like you two get up to a lot around here.
COOPER
We try to. Its the only thing that keeps you not from going insane.
Then Lord Hoods voice can be herd over a P.A system.
LORD HOOD
Attention! Lt.Cooper Andrews and Corporate Vander. Report to the bridge immediately.
ANDREWS
He doesn't sound to chappy.
Andrews, Cooper and Vander head for the Bridge.
INT.High Charity.
The prophet of Truth is sitting in his chair. Giving a speech about the great journey. The rest of the Covenant are all listening in on their stands.
PROPHET OF TRUTH
The great Journey is almost upon us. The Elite cruiser is on its way to earth. A noble sacrifice. Once they have the humans attention their location will be sent to us. We will then slip in under there noses.
Grunts, Brutes and Jackals all cheer and applaud.
Then all of a sudden Elites barge through he entrance chamber doors. Leading them is an Elite dressed with more elaborate armor.
Nylic
Prophet! How dare you lie to us!
Brutes in the entrance block them. But the prophet allows them through to pass.
NYLIC
The Great Journey you speak of is all but lies!
PROPHET OF TRUTH
You dare question me?
NYLIC
The attack on Harvest. Was that really necessary? What have the humans done that deserve punishment by death?
PROPHET OF TRUTH
Of course it was! The humans are stopping us! They are a parasite, preventing our major accomplishment.
NYLIC
What accomplishment? The great Journey? Do you even know what you are doing?
PROPHET OF TRUTH
Of course I do! Stop defying me! You dare go against the will of the gods! We are their instrument, we must obey.
NYLIC
You are foolish! Why are my people following the human vessel? Are you sacrificing my people? Its a suicide mission. They have over one hundred orbital cannons, they will rip the ship apart!
PROPHET OF TRUTH
The Journey needs sacrifices.
Another elite walks out from the shadows from behind the prophet.
NYLIC
(Sneers)
Birian. Why didn't he go with them! Why didn't he sacrifice him self!
PROPHET OF TRUTH
Birian is too valuable to lose. He is loyal to me, not like you.
birian
Nylic has always defied you my Lord. He does not believe in the Great Journey. He cares to much about the...humans. He should be punished.
PROPHET OF TRUTH
I will handle this, Birian. I see no other option here. You have gone against me to many times Nylic. Your kind is no longer welcome her. The Elites place here is forfeit. You have no place amongst us.
NYLIC
Are you insane! The Elites have always served you. But now I can see that I was wrong about you. You are suicidal. Listen all of you! Don't you understand! The Great Journey is a genocide against all living creatures in the galaxy. If you activate all the halo rings, you will bring forth great destruction to everyone. Including all of you!
PROPHET OF TRUTH
Enough! You....you all must be punished for your sins against the Covenant! How could you care for the humans! They are disgusting, a Heresy!
Birian walks forward.
BIRIAN
Let me take care of him.
NYLIC
I see there is no reasoning with you.
Nylic takes his energy sword of his side and activates it.
PROPHET OF TRUTH
That is not a wise move. Kill them all!
BIRIAN
I have waited some time for this.
Nylic runs and jumps over the crowding brutes. Nylic and Birian battle it out. Nylic's sword locks with Birians. Grunts and Jackals cower and run for cover. The covenant in the stands disperse and hide, while others want to join in the fight.
NYLIC
How can you believe in such lies! Join me, and we can stop him!
BIRIAN
That is where you are wrong! He speaks of the truth. Salvation will be ours.
Birian knocks Nylic back.
BIRIAN
Think of a world with out the humans!
Nylic slashes at Birian, he blocks.
NYLIC
The humans do not deserve to die! I can see that now! Why can't you!
Nylic attacks again. The brutes and elites are in a fiery war now. A battle is now in progress in the chamber. The prophet watches on in content.
BIRIAN
The humans are a simple race, but are also a violent one! They deserve to be put down!
NYLIC
Are we so different!
Nylic gets more aggressive.
BIRIAN
Why are you protecting them!
NYLIC
Because they see truth, they are not blinded by propaganda!
Nylic knocks the sword out of Birians hand. He grabs Birian by the throat and throws him over by the prophet. The prophet scared, escapes down into a shaft beneath him. Nylic jumps on top of Birian and puts his sword close to his throat.
NYLIC
I don't want to have to kill you brother.
BIRIAN
Wrong move!
Birian kicks Nylic off the top of him. As the shaft doors closes he jumps down the shaft. Nylic gets to his feet. The elites have killed most of the brutes. The elites all gather together. A brute goes to kill Nylic, he back flips over him and cuts him down his back. The room is silent. Nylic looks around the room the grunts and Jackals are hiding. One grunt is hiding behind a Jackal who is holding a plasma pistol at Nylic. Nylic walks over to the Jackal and grunt. He kneels down.
NYLIC
Get out of here...Now!!
The Jackal and grunts run off. Nylic looks around. The others are still in hiding.
NYLIC
Elites! Retreat! Head for one of the cruisers. We are leaving!
They head out of the chamber, towards their cruiser and leave the giant floating city. There ship flies towards Earth.
NYLIC
Find the tracking beacon on the Reconnaissance.
ELITE
But sir...there heading for earth..
NYLIC
I know! Just do it.
ELITE
...I hope your know what your doing Nylic.
The Ship heads for Earth.
INT.Cairo Station/ Elite Battle.
General Hood is pacing around the bridge. When Cooper, Andrews and Vander arrive.
COOPER
Wow, so this is the bridge, fancy...
They approach Lord Hood.
ANDREWS
You wanted to see us sir?
LORD HOOD
Yes. I want you to meet someone.
Miranda Keyes is standing by the window. She turns around and greets them.
LORD HOOD
This is Miranda Keyes, Captain Keyes's Daughter.
MIRANDA KEYES
Please to meet you all.
LORD HOOD
She was there when the covenant attacked Harvest. If it wasn't for Captain Keyes sacrifice, Miranda or the Spartan wouldn't be here.
COOPER
I'm so sorry to hear about your father.
MIRANDA KEYES
Thank you, Lt.
LORD HOOD
The reason why I've called you all here, is because you three are now a team.
VANDER
What? Me? Your assigning me to a team?
LORD HOOD
Yes, I believe we could use your talents. You have some knowledge on the covenant I believe.
COOPER
You didn't tell us that?
VANDER
Thought it wasn't important.
LORD HOOD
Ms Keyes here will also be assigned to you. She will be second in charge. I will send data to her, which then she will relay to you. She is your new second in command.
ANDREWS
Sir, I get the feeling there is something your not letting on.
Lord Hood takes a deep breath.
LORD HOOD
One of our command centers on the border of New Mombassa, has been picking up covenant chatter on there battle net. They some how hacked into one of there servers. It sounds like they are planning an attack...on earth.
ANDREWS
So Harvest wasn't the last. What about the Cole Protocol?
LORD HOOD
I'm afraid not. The Cole Protocol is still in action, but the Covenant are starting to get more and ore persistent. This is what they heard. Play the message.
A crew member on a computer pushes a few buttons, on a main central view screen a picture of sound waves pops up. Covenant chatter can be heard, but it is highly distorted. It ends.
LORD HOOD
That was all that they could pick up. Now to me that does not sound good. The mention of earth and our Spartan...can only mean trouble.
VANDER
What would you like us to do, sir?
LORD HOOD
You three are now called "Shadow Team" You are now from this point on a stealth infiltration unit. I picked you three because you are my finest and i know that i can rely on you. Your first task is to leave for earth to New Mombassa. There I will send Miranda your next objective. You leave first thing tomorrow. Understand.
COOPER
You can rely on us, sir!
Cortana flickers into view by the main screen.
CORTANA
General.
LORD HOOD
Team, this is Cortana. She also will be with your team.
CORTANA
Pleasure to meet you all. General, he is now awake and ready.
LORD HOOD
Excellent. Team I'd like you to follow me.
As Lord Hood is about to proceed to the Cryobay an alarm bell rings.
LORD HOOD
What is it? Status!?
crew worker
I'm not sure, sir. Were picking up an unusual power source on the border of UNSC Sub space.
CORTANA
General, it looks like a Covenant cruiser is entering the defense grid. Its coming in fast.
LORD HOOD
Jesus Christ! Get every one to there stations now Cortana! I want you to Alert all remaining Stations surrounding Earth. Do not let that cruiser near our home planet.
CORTANA
Yes General.
Cortana flickers back inside the console. Miranda approaches Lord Hood.
MIRANDA KEYES
I think they may have followed us from Harvest.
LORD HOOD
The Cole Protocol has failed. This was all bound to happen.
Hood approaches the main view screen, a map of space is displayed.
LORD HOOD
But why only one Cruiser? If Truth wanted a war, he would of sent the entire Covenant Fleet. One Covenant Cruiser would be insane to enter all by itself. We have the upper hand here. Prime Cannons 85 and 90. The closest to the cruiser. Let's see how they go up against our cannons.
The signal of the Covenant cruiser can be seen approaching the defense grid. We then see the actual ship approach the defense grid.
We see inside the ship. An Elite is sitting in a chair.
He see's the 100's of Space Obital Cannons.
ELITE
What is this? They have more fire power then us!
The elite's realization sinks in.
ELITE
Truth! He planned this all along! He knew we would be outnumbered! Why did I not see this?!
crew elite
Commander, were picking up their weapon signatures. They are priming the cannons. What shall we do?
The Elite is frozen in fear and confusion. He looks out and see's two giant Orbital Cannons tilting and aiming for their ship.
We are back on the space station. Andrews, Cooper and Vander are still standing at there spots.
COOPER
Would you like us to do anything sir?
LORD HOOD
What I need you to do is to stay right here.
We are back on the Elites ship.
CREW ELITE
Sir, there cannons will rip this ship apart. What do you want us to do?
The commanding Elite, does not respond.
CREW ELITE
Sir, what is the order?!
ELITE
Fire...fire everything we've got! We cannot back out now.
CREW ELITE
Sir, but....
ELITE
Now!
The Elite cruiser start firing its multiple guns. Hitting nearby stations and Orbital guns.
Lord Hood retaliates.

The stations starts to shutter as incoming laser fire hits the station.
LORD HOOD
Do they really think they can win against us! Keep every ship away from the cruiser. No one intercepts. Understand?
CREW WORKER

ANDREWS
Sir even tho our cannons are strong, There fire can still do damage to the station. We need to do something.
LORD HOOD
Are you crazy?! I cannot afford to risk anyone. We wait until the cannons are at full firing capabilities.
COOPER
Sir, we can't just stand around and...
LORD HOOD
Who's in charge here Lt! I am, so keep your mouth shut.
Cooper, frowns and steps back.
Vander then notices another ship coming in from hyper space.
VANDER
Sir...we have another problem.
LORD HOOD
What is it?
Lord Hood turns, and out the window. It is Nylic's ship.
LORD HOOD
Another one?
Vander approaches to the window.
VANDER
There both Elite Cruisers.
ANDREWS
How can you tell?
VANDER
Elite Cruisers shape is more slim line then standard Covenant Cruisers.
Everybody in the room, walks closely to admire the giant beasts.
Nylic is in his cruiser.
NYLIC
Open all comm channels.
ELITE
But, sir if we do that the humans will hear.
NYLIC
That is the point. Everyone listen. We are here to help the humans. You all know of the prophets lies. We the Elites should have sided with them many years ago. Who ever does not wish to trust me, and go head with what I am about to do. Then I suggest you leave this ship. For I will see you not only as cowards, but also dishonest.
The ship is quiet. Nobody leaves.
NYLIC
Very good. Now open up a comm Chanel to the Reconnaissance and the humans.
Lord Hood is becoming anxious. The first Elite ship has stopped firing.
LORD HOOD
Whats is going on?
The First Elite Ship contacts Nylic's.
Elite
Thank you for the assistance Vangarit. You couldn't of come at a better time.
Cortana speaks to Hood.
CORTANA
Sir, I'm getting an open channel message from the second Cruiser.
LORD HOOD
What? Patch it through.
NYLIC
Reconnaissance, I am here to stop your raid against the humans.
Lord Hood and everyone in the control room stops.
LORD HOOD
What the hell did he just say?
COOPER
I heard it too, don't you worry.
ELITE
What are you talking about?
NYLIC
Stand down. I am here to stop you. Us Elites have made a wrong turn. The Prophet has lied to all of us. I give you a choice. Join me and we can form an alliance with the humans.
VANDER
He wants us to hear this...
ELITE
This is madness! We serve the Prophet. He knows best.
NYLIC
No! Stop being blinded! Can't you see that we can change our ways!
ELITe
I do not have to listen to this!
NYLIC
If you believe in the prophets ways, then I do not see you as my ally. But my enemy.
ELITE
You are making a mistake.
The Chanel is cut.
Lord Hood is surprised. He cannot believe what he had just heard.
Then Nylic voice is heard.
NYLIC
Humans, I wish no harm to come upon you. I am sorry about my friend here. I wish to join you, and continue my campaign to stop Truth. There is important information I must share with you, that is vital.
Lord Hood looks around the room.
LORD HOOD
Am I hearing this right?
NYLIC
You may find this hard to believe. You see my species as a dangerous one, and I do not blame you.
LORD HOOD
Why would an Elite, join with us humans? Our race has been long at war with you Covenant.
NYLIC
I despise all who follow in the footsteps of the Prophet. Any Covenant who is a threat to the galaxy and you humans. Is my enemy too.
LORD HOOD
...What is your name? What is your reason?
NYLIC
My name is Nylic. I have always been different to the covenant, my beliefs mostly. If you will allow it, I would like to form a friendship.
Lord Hood considers the thought for a moment.
VANDER
This is extraordinary. The Elites are wanting to join, this could be the break through we need, General.
There is a long pause and silence in the bridge. It seemed as tho hours went by instead of minutes.
LORD HOOD
Nylic, The UNSC...
Lord Hood looks around the room.
lord Hood
...Would gladly have you join with us.
NYLIC
Thank you. It is an honor to serve side by side with you. May I have access onto the station so we may meet?
LORD HOOD
Grant that access.
CREW WORKER
Granting access to gate 12.
LORD HOOD
You have permitted access to gate 12.
NYLIC
Excellent. I will be arriving shortly.
Andrews steps forward.
ANDREWS
Are sure about this captain? How do we know this is all just some trap? We are have just granted access for a covenant alien, an Elite to board this station.
LORD HOOD
Didn't you just see what happened. The covenant do not reason with us humans. This Elite has finally seen through the prophets bullshit.
Suddenly the first elite cruiser starts to send out drop ships towards the station.
CORTANA
Sorry to interrupt, but we have incoming covenant drop ships coming in fast.
As Lord Hood looks out to the ship, Nylic's cruiser fires upon the incoming ships. Its laser tears through two of the enemy drop ships.
COOPER
Why would an elite cruiser shoot down there own ships?
Andrews looks at Cooper, ashamed at being wrong.
LORD HOOD
Lock secondary Weapons on incoming boogies. Okay, this is where you come in. Andrews I want you to go with second team Alpha and get to D Block. Kill any Elite bastard who tries to enter. Vander I want you to stay here with me.
LORD HOOD
Cooper I want you to head to the back entrances near the engine room. And remember watch out for the good ones.
Cooper and Andrews Head for their objectives. Vander and Lord Hood are left in the room.
Andrews grabs a Battle rifle from his locker and attaches a head set to his left ear. He looks at a photo on his locker door, it is of his son. He kisses his hand and puts it on the photo.
ANDREWS
I'm fighting for, buddy.
He kisses his hand and places it on the photograph. Andrews is walking with a whole small group of marines, they are heading for the main deck, where the covenant are most likely to enter. He is walking down a long corridor.
ANDREWS
Let's hit it marines.
Cooper is by herself. She is in the back end of the station. She reports her location to Andrews.
COOPER
I'm at the Location. Its all quiet.
ANDREWS
Roger that, We are at Section D. All quiet too.
COOPER
Now, lets sit tight.
ANDREWS
Careful Cooper.
COOPER
You know me.
INT. Nylic's arrival/Elite battle.
Nylic heads to his Ship. Multiple fly out of a port from the side of the Cruiser. Nylic's and some others dodges gun fire from both Cruisers, and shoots at incoming cruisers from the other vessel. Nylic's gunship and multiple others enter the Landing bay. AA machine fun follow them, in case they decide to fire. They also fire at the multiple other enemy gunships. Human fighters are also now joined in the battle.
Nylic exits his ship followed by 5 other Elites. Marines have there guns trained on Nylic. Lord Hood approaches Nylic.
LORD HOOD
So I'm assuming you are Nylic?
NYLIC
Correct, you must be the one in charge. I can assure you captain, me and my elites are not a threat to this station or your men. This Welcome is not needed.
LORD HOOD
Stand down soldiers, lower your weapons.
Nylic bows his head.
NYLIC
Thank you General. Please, may my Elites assist your men? The other cruisers drop ships are increasing. I can tell you the weak spot on that other cruiser. My cruisers weaponry will not effect the ship very well. As both ships consist of the same plasma energy shielding and weaponry, it would be like trying to put out a fire with fire. If you understand my metaphor.
LORD HOOD
Yes, thank you. We could use the help.
NYLIC
Very well. Elites, help the humans were needed.
The 8 groups of Elites disperse.
LORD HOOD
Marines, help these Elites. Save as much of the station as you can.
We then see the action outside the space station. Human fighters and Elite ships are fighting one another.

Space Command this is UNSC fighter Pilot Kaleb's. The enemy Elite Cruiser is still deploying drop ships. There's no end to it. I don't think we can hold them off for much longer. I can't even tell who are the good guys from the bad out here?!
The fighter pilot takes out a drop ship exiting the other cruiser.
HUMAN SPACE PILOT
When are those Cannons going to be online?
Lord Hood is walking back to the command center. With Nylic and his Elites following close behind.
LORD HOOD
Give me an update.
CREW WORKER
One of our Fighter Pilots has just called in sir, He's requesting that the cannons need to be online A.S.A.P. There having a hard time trying to identify the enemy from allies.
LORD HOOD
Well? Get them online! Didn't I already say that?!
CREW WORKER
Yes sir, the cannons seem to be in operation...but.
LORD HOOD
But what?
CREW WORKER
They are not responding to any commands.
LORD HOOD
Whats wrong with them?!
CREW WORKER
It looks like the main wireless connection re router has been damaged somehow.
LORD HOOD
What about the other Cannons? We have 98 other operating guns. Get them loaded and ready to destroy that cruiser!
CREW WORKER
Sir, all of our Primary Orbital Cannons operate on the one system. With out the wireless network...Those cannons aren't going to be of any use.
Nylic steps forward.
NYLIC
General, All covenant Cruisers main plasma energy drives are located on the underside. If you could somehow get one of your fighters to locate it, we can destroy it and takes its shields down. I then can get my cruiser to engage and destroy it.
LORD HOOD
What's it look like?
NYLIC
Its a large generator, about the size of two of your fighters. It has a small central tower.
LORD HOOD
Okay, that's what we will do. Wheres the radio? Make sure every UNSC Pilot hears this.
Lord Hood puts on a head set and speaks.
CREW WORKER
Your on sir.
LORD HOOD
Attention all UNSC Pilots. I need you all to target the belly of the enemy cruiser. Look for a medium sized generator with a central tower. Destroy it. Then get the hell out of there. The other Elite Cruiser will then engage. I say again once destroyed get out of the blast zone. Lord Hood Out.
All of a sudden Nylic notices the other cruiser is sending out deployment pods.
NYLIC
That bastard, he is sending out Leeches!
VANDER
What are they?
NYLIC
They are specially designed Pods to latch onto any vessel. They can break through the toughest metals.
LORD HOOD
Whats inside them?!
NYLIC
They are designed for easy battle deployment. Each pod can hold 25 Elites or more.
We see the Elites in the other Cruiser boarding the pods. They then fire. One hits a fighter and clips it wing, it gets sent into a spiral before exploding. Its heading for the main Control room where Lord Hood is.
The others are heading for different sections of the station.
LORD HOOD
Alert everyone in the station! Tell them to arm them selves. Give me this.
Lord Hood grabs a head set from one of the workers.
LORD HOOD
Andrews, be expecting a large group of Elites coming your way, There not friendly over.
Andrews responds with his team.
ANDREWS
Rodger that, general. We'll take care of them. Alright men, get ready, we have company.
Lord Hood informs Cooper.
LORD HOOD
Cooper! We have incoming Elites prepare yourself!
COOPER
Rodger that sir. I'll send them packing.
She loads her SMG.
Cooper is walking down a hall, its badly damaged.
Vander walks towards the Window of the Control Room.
VANDER
Is that heading towards us?
Everyone looks towards the window. The pod is getting closer by the second. Nylic presents his energy sword. And so do the other Elites.
NYLIC
Elites! Prepare for battle!
Lord Hood an clips his two Pistols and throws one over to Vander. A few marines in the room load the weapons.
Andrews and his team wait silently in the main foyer, a marine behind a stationed machine gun loads it.
Cooper wonders eagerly through the darkened hall. looking behind every corner.
The several pods hit the station, the station shakes violently.
LORD HOOD
Here they come...
The pod impacts on the window. Alarms and lights sound. The pods entrance opens with a bang. The room is silent all can be heard is the alarms. Pulsating red lights flash. Nylic gives off a quiet growl, Lord Hood breathes in deep and Vander swallows hard.
Then the Elites pour out from the pod. Nylic charges first.
NYLIC
Kill every last one of them!
Nylic jumps in the air and lands on the first elite and stabs him through the torso. The other Elites engage as well. Hood and Vander take refuge behind a pole.
LORD HOOD
Ever seen an Elite up close?
VANDER
Uh, can't say I have sir.
LORD HOOD
Then today's our lucky day.
Hood peeks around the pole and fires his gun. So Does Vander.
INT. Master chief's rude awakening
Andrews and his team are shaken by an explosion at the main door. Elites emerge from the smoke.
ANDREWS
Light em up!
The marines fire upon the Elites. Several fall, but so do the marines.
ANDREWS
Keep firing marines!!
Cooper enters another corridor. Shes is thrown to the ground by a violent shake and explosion. She looks up at the door where the sound had come from. She can hear the voices of Elites.
cooper
Please be good, please be good.
She gets to her feet, and slowly walks backwards. She no longer hears their voices. It is silent. Cooper aims at the door. She continues to walk, then the door blows. Cooper gets knocked onto her back. Two Elites walk in the through the door. One Elite takes out his energy sword, while the other takes out his two plasma rifles.
cooper
Wow, you guys are really big... So I'm guessing your not the good guys.
Cooper crawls away from the two Elites, But they both follow toying with her. The first Elite walks up to Cooper and picks her up by the throat. The Elite Laughs.
ELITE
Ha, you wouldn't think that they are much of a threat. There just like annoying insects.
Andrews team is slowly getting slaughtered. One by one, they fall.
ANDREWS
General! We are dropping like flies! We need back up!
Lord Hood in the control Center is having trouble also.
LORD HOOD
Hold in there Andrews! I've got trouble also.
More pods crash into the station.
VANDER
That cruiser needs to be taken out sir! There's no end to them.
Lord Hood gets back on the head set.
LORD HOOD
Pilots! Why hasn't that generator been taken out yet! The station is over run! Destroy it!
A squadron of pilots dodge laser fire and head for the belly of the enemy cruiser.
pilot
This is squadron one. We are heading for the ship now, over. We're trying our best, its hell out here.
One by one we see Vander and Lord Hood fighting with Nylic and his Elites, then Andrews and his Team, then Cooper and the two Elites about to execute Cooper.
We are back in the Corridor with Cooper

Any last words, human?
COOPER
Go to hell!
As Cooper says this, she sees a tall figure behind the second Elite.
ELITE
Very well human...
The unknown figure grabs the second elite silently and snaps its neck. Cooper sees this and directs her eyes in that direction. The elite notices and does the same. Cooper grabs her knife from her back compartment and stabs the Elite in the hand. The Elite drops Cooper. The Elite goes to slash at the figure, but grabs the Elites arm and punches the Elite in the face. A soft bone crunching sound follows after. The figure now has hold of the energy sword. The figure then drives the sword through the body of the Elite. It screams in pain and falls to the ground. The figure then walks towards Cooper. She grabs her SMG off the ground and aims it at the figure. The figure walks out into the light. It is Master Chief, a SPARTAN 11 Soldier. Cooper lowers her gun.

Master Chief holds out his hand. He helps Cooper up.
MASTER CHIEF
Look's like I've slept through half the party.
COOPER
Trust me, the party is just getting started.
MASTER CHIEF
Where is everyone else?
COOPER
In different parts of the station. General Hood is in the Bridge.
Cooper gets a message from Andrews over her head set.
ANDREWS
Cooper! Cooper are you there!
Cooper pushes a button on her ear piece and responds.
COOPER
I'm here Hamish, whats wrong?
ANDREWS
The Elites are getting the better of us. We could use a hand.
COOPER
I'm on my way. I'm bringing a friend of mine.
Cooper looks at Master Chief.
MASTER CHIEF
Where is he?
COOPER
Section D. Follow me.
Cooper heads up the Hall to an elevator, they both enter. As the door closes Cooper looks up at the master Chief.
COOPER
You're really tall.
Master Chief looks down at Cooper.
INT. The Big One.
The mounted machine gun continues to fire. Marines now lie scattered across the floor only a few still standing. Elites are still standing, taking cover and continuing to fire. Andrews is taking cover behind a pole.
ANDREWS
Jesus Christ! This is getting impossible.
A plasma bolt hits the pole where Andrews is crouching behind. Hot melted steel and concrete shatter past his face.
ANDREWS
Lets try and flank them! Move it!
Andrews runs out from behind the pole and starts firing at the elites. He takes down one Elite before taking cover behind another pole, which is in worse condition then the last.
Then something strange happens. A large roar goes out and echoes across the room. The marines and Elites stop firing. Andrews takes a look behind the pole. A very abnormal, large Elite steps in the room. The Elites disperse to let him through. He stops and gives a slight smile. The room falls completely silent.
ANDREWS
(Speechless)
What the hell is that?
